Solo Ad Guide

How Do Solo Ads Work?

Understand the solo ad buying process from email send to delivered click, tracking and follow-up.

A solo ad campaign connects someone else's email audience to your landing page. Understanding each handoff makes it much easier to diagnose results.

1. You choose the destination

The destination can be a squeeze page, lead-generation page or direct offer. For many campaigns, capturing the lead first gives you a way to continue the conversation after the initial click.

2. The provider sends email traffic

The provider mails an audience and routes interested readers to your destination. Delivery terms vary, so confirm how billable visitors are counted, what geography is included and whether filtering is applied.

3. Tracking verifies the handoff

Your own analytics should distinguish visits from leads, customers and downstream revenue. Provider-side reporting is useful for delivery; independent tracking is useful for evaluating your funnel.

4. Follow-up determines more of the economics

A click that does not buy immediately can still become valuable when a relevant opt-in and email sequence exist. Conversely, a large click order can underperform if the destination does not match the traffic.
