How to Measure Solo Ad ROI

How to think about revenue, acquisition cost and downstream value without relying on click volume alone.

Solo ad ROI compares the value attributable to a campaign with the cost required to acquire that traffic.

Start with attributable value

For a simple direct-sale funnel, revenue may appear quickly. For list building, value can arrive through later emails, which makes attribution more complex.

Basic ROI = (attributable return − campaign cost) ÷ campaign cost

Do not force certainty

If your tracking cannot reliably connect later purchases to the campaign, use a more conservative measurement such as cost per lead and follow the cohort over time.

Scale only what you understand

A positive result from a small sample is encouraging, not a promise that a larger order will perform identically. Keep measuring as volume changes.
