Solo Ad Guide

Solo Ads Cost Per Lead

How to calculate cost per lead from solo ad traffic and interpret the result.

Cost per lead converts a solo ad campaign from “how much did each click cost?” to “how much did each acquired prospect cost?”

Cost per lead = campaign traffic spend ÷ number of leads acquired

Example

If a campaign costs $200 and produces 100 measured leads, the simple cost per lead is $2. This example is arithmetic only; it is not a benchmark or promise of typical solo ad performance.

Compare lead quality

Two sources can produce the same cost per lead while generating very different subscriber behavior. Review downstream email engagement, conversions and value where possible.

Use the metric to diagnose

If CPC stays constant but CPL worsens, the landing-page conversion rate may have changed. If CPL is stable but sales fall, the issue may be later in the funnel.
